Terms & Conditions

Last updated: January 1, 2024. By using ccfd.ca, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully — we've written them in plain language wherever possible.

1. About CCFD

CCFD (ccfd.ca) is a payday loan referral service operating in Canada. We are not a lender and do not issue loans. We connect applicants with our network of provincially licensed lenders. CCFD does not set loan amounts, fees, or repayment terms — these are determined by individual lenders in compliance with applicable provincial law.

2. Eligibility

You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, 18 years of age or older, with a minimum monthly income of $1,000 CAD and an active Canadian bank account. By submitting an application, you confirm you meet these requirements and that all information provided is accurate and complete.

3. Application & No Obligation

Submitting an application through CCFD does not obligate you to accept any loan offer. You retain the right to decline any offer for any reason. Accepting a loan offer creates a legally binding agreement directly between you and the lender — CCFD is not party to that agreement.

4. Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide accurate, truthful information in your application. Providing false information constitutes fraud and may result in your application being rejected, your loan being cancelled, and potentially criminal liability under applicable Canadian law.

5. No Upfront Fees

CCFD charges no fees for its referral service. No legitimate lender in our network charges any fee before disbursing a loan. If you are ever asked to pay money upfront to receive a loan, this is fraud — do not pay and report it immediately.

6. Responsible Borrowing

We strongly encourage responsible borrowing. Do not apply for a loan you cannot afford to repay on the specified date. Payday loans are intended for short-term financial emergencies only. Repeated reliance on payday loans indicates a financial situation that would be better addressed through credit counselling.

7. Limitation of Liability

CCFD acts as a referral intermediary. We are not responsible for the actions, terms, or decisions of individual lenders. Disputes regarding a specific loan must be addressed directly with the lender. CCFD's liability to you is limited to the value of any service directly provided by CCFD.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and applicable provincial legislation. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the province in which you reside.

9. Changes to Terms

CCFD reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of ccfd.ca after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
